I love music, pure and simple. I've been a musician/singer/songwriter my entire life and as such have an intricate and unique understanding of the musical artistic process from conception to realization. I graduated in 1993 from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln with BA degrees in Communications and English, with a minor in Music with emphasis on Music Theory. Upon graduation, I jumped right into my career in music and audio recording and production. This 'leap' began for me a great journey, beginning with the popular Omaha jam band, The Kind, and taking national hold with the advent of (one of) my present artistic endeavors, Grasshopper Takeover.
In that time, I was fortunate to have written and released 7 albums, 5 EPs, toured the country coast-to-coast, worked and performed with Omaha legends 311, received air-time on VH-1 and national radio play with 3 hit singles. During this amazing ride, I gained extensive knowledge of the business of music and, most notably, the process of recording and producing audio and creating albums and commercial scores for countless clients. With over 12 years of professional experience under my belt, I opened Grubb, Inc. Recording & Productions in 2005 and since then have recorded and produced hundreds of albums, have written multiple original music scores for commercial campaigns, and have recorded numerous voiceovers for television and radio, corporations and communities.
Simply stated, I love recording and producing artists, inspiring artists to push themselves, creating music in the studio, and helping my clients bring their audio/visual visions to life.
